Narus Appoints DLN Shastri as Narus India's Vice President of Sales and Business Development

Narus, the leader in real-time traffic intelligence, announced today that DLN Shastri has been appointed vice president of sales and business development to Narus Networks Private Limited (NNPL), Narus' subsidiary in India. Shastri has more than 25 years' experience in sales and marketing, business development, and channel management in the telecom market. In his new role, Shastri will be responsible for the sales of Narus solutions into the Indian market. He will also tackle business development, including identifying and signing distribution partners in India to help expand Narus' presence in the region.

Shastri has a long professional career in the telecom industry. Prior to joining Narus, he served as SBU Head of System Integration Business for HCL InfoSystems Ltd. There, he created the Infrastructure Business Unit to address the needs of telecom service providers through telecom equipment manufacturers. He worked closely with new telecom service providers to offer end-to-end system integration services. Shastri also secured infrastructure and IT services business for HCL. Before HCL, Shastri served as vice president of business development and strategy at Tech Mahindra Ltd., where he managed the company's entire business operations across India, with a special focus in the public operators' space of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). Additional industry positions include stints as vice president of marketing and sales at Usha Communications, Inc., and senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications at ICOMM Tele Ltd.

Shastri received an MBA from Waltair School of Management at Andhra University. He also received a PG Diploma in Export Management from the Indian Institute of Export Management in Calcutta, and a Graduate Diploma in Materials Management from the Indian Institute of Materials Management in Mumbai.
