Taj Hotels has announced the appointment of Mr. Sarabjeet Singh as Director Operations for Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts and General Manager for Taj Krishna. He replaces Mr. Veer Vijay Singh, who has been promoted as the COO – Premium Hotels in Mumbai, after a four-year stint here in Hyderabad.
Prior to the new assignment with Taj Krishna, Mr. Sarabjeet Singh was General Manager in Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi.
Expressing happiness over his new role, Mr. Sarabjeet Singh said, ”I am looking forward to taking up the new responsibilities and raising the bar of excellence of Taj Hotels in Hyderabad. I hope the coming years will be highly challenging and exciting.”
Mr. Sarabjeet Singh started his career with Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces in the year 1988 as a Management Trainee and worked in the iconic Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai, in various positions in the Food & Beverage department. Subsequent positions held by him include, Food & Beverage Manager - Taj Exotica Bentota, Sri Lanka, General Manager – Fisherman’s Cove, Chennai, Deputy General Manager – Taj Lake Palace Hotel, Udaipur. He has over 21 years of experience in the hotel operations.
Mr. Singh will report to the Managing Director – Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Limited and to the Chief Operating Officer - Luxury (India) and Premium Hotels.
