TeamLease receives prestigious "Samman Patra"

TeamLease Services Private Limited, India’s largest staffing solutions firm,today announced that it has been awarded the prestigious “Samman Patra” inrecognition of their outstanding contribution to service tax revenues. Theaward was presented to TeamLease on February 24, which is observed as CentralExcise Day, by Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Bangalore Zone, Ms LalithaJohn for the period 2007 - 2008. This is the second time that TeamLease hasbeen honored with the Samman Patra, first time being in 2005-2006.

At the presentationceremony held yesterday, TeamLease was identified as one of the highest taxpayers in Karnataka for the years 2007-08 and 2008-09, and also a tax payer whohad very good levels of compliance. According to K Venkatesan, FinancialController, TeamLease Services Private Limited, “It is a matter ofgreat pride to be selected for this prestigious award. Winning it for thesecond time is not only a reflection of our current size and rapid growth overthe last years, but also complements our consistent position of having andmaintaining the highest standards of regulatory and statutory compliances. Anotherpart of me swells with pride, as I see TeamLease being a significantcontributory to the Nation building exercise.”

The function waspresided over by Ms Lalitha John, Chief Commissioner of Central Excise,Bangalore Zone. Pujya Swami Shri Brahmananda, Acharya Chinmaya Mission Trust, Bangalore was the Chief Guest of theoccasion.
