Bahrain Air launches 3 new destinations

Bahrain Air, the first Premium service carrier with affordable fares, a private national carrier located in Bahrain, operating within MENA countries and to India, is continuing to make inroads and slowly marching forward. Having started its operations barely one year ago, Bahrain Air is already operating to 14 destinations.

“The Affordable Priced Premium Airline is poised to spread its wings to add three more destinations to its network in the next coming weeks, introducing Thrice weekly services to Kathmandu in Nepal from 17th March, Nine weekly services to Abu Dhabi from 29th March and Three services to Kozhikode (Calicut) in India on 1st April” Said Mr. B.K. Majmudar, Director of Commercial Operations and Corporate Planning of Bahrain Air, from his office in Muharraq, The Kingdom of Bahrain.

“ We are extremely satisfied that our strategy of cautious and controlled expansion to serve the business travelers and the travelers seeking the affordable price without compromising the quality of services, is paying of, when some of the competitors are struggling currently”, added Mr. Majmudar.

Bahrain Air uses modern aircraft. Presently the fleet consists of two Airbus A320 and one A319 aircraft. The fourth aircraft is expected to join the company’s fleet very soon.

Bahrain Air was incorporated in Bahrain on 2 July 2007 as a Bahraini Shareholding Company “Closed” B.S.C (C) with a capital of ten million Bahrain Dinars (US$ 26.5 million). It is currently serving 8 destinations in the Gulf, Middle East, Levant, and Indian sub-continent. The airline is a Premium Low Price Carrier "PLPC" with two class service, Premium and Economy. The airline operates fast point to point services with a minimum connecting transit time in Bahrain International Airport. It offers affordable fares to all its network destinations.

Bahrain Air started operations out of Bahrain International Airport on 3 February 2008. Currently it has twice daily services at convenient timings to Dubai and Doha, five weekly flights to Alexandria in Egypt, four weekly flights to Beirut and Amman, three each to Damascus and Mashad in Iran. On 26th May 2008, three weekly flights will commence to Kochi in South India increasing to daily flights from October 2008. three new destinations will be inaugurated in June and October 2008, two weekly flights to Aleppo in Syria and 4 weekly flights to Jeddah, furthermore daily flights to Kuwait respectively. Moreover, the company plans to launch two weekly flights to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in October 2008.
