His Excellency Dr Boni Yayi, President, Republic of Benin visited the campus of AVESTHAGEN LIMITED, at ITPB, Bangalore on Saturday. This visit was a key agenda item as part of his two-day state visit to India. Avesthagen Limited and The Republic of Benin will explore opportunities to partner for bringing Avesthagen’s “Seed for Food” and “Food for Medicine” programs to Benin.

Dr. Boni YAYI expressed, “I am delighted to visit Avesthagen because of its contribution to technological progress that is very beneficial not only for India but also for other developing countries like my country, Benin. In her welcome address, Dr. Villoo Morawala Patell, Founder & CMD, Avesthagen, while acknowledging the appreciation emphasized that, Innovation must become part of the core competency of every part of an organization and its network of business partners. The collaborative partner-embracing culture in which Innovation thrives will bring new realities into existence. Avesthagen will now partner with the Republic of Benin, on the personal invitation of the President, to establish its integrated Seed for Food (SFF) and Food for Medicine (FFM) programs in Benin, for Africa.
The visitors toured the Avesthagen laboratories, which offer world-class facilities for the development of new products and molecules in BioPharma, BioNutra and BioAgriculture. The President emphasized the need for Avesthagen and Benin to work together on innovative new technologies.
