Envisioned to make quality a way of life, Intertek systems certification, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to industries around the world has received the ISO/IEC 17021:2006 accreditation. The Dutch Accreditation Council RvA and National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies India has given this accreditation to Intertek for conducting the third party assessments. Intertek systems certification is one of the first to receive this accreditation in India, which has now been made a compulsory procedure for all certification bodies providing such services.
Certification of management systems is a third-party conformity assessment activity and is therefore performed by third-party conformity assessment bodies. The ISO/IEC 17021:2006 is used as a criterion document for accreditation. It contains principles and requirements for the competence, consistency and impartiality of the audit and certification of management systems of all types of quality management systems or environmental management systems and for bodies providing these activities.
