PDA Reference Design Based On Atmel ARM9

Oasis Technologies of Pune, India, has released a customizable PDA reference design code named OPAD. This device runs Windows CE with .Net / Embedded Linux with Java support and is based on Atmel ARM9 processor running at 200 Mhz clock frequency.

The PDA reference platform is targeted towards various market segments such as Logistics, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Banking, Education and similar industries where mobile computing is a need of the hour.

The PDA is available as a reference design and can be easily customized to fit an OEM's specifications. Handheld products are already being manufactured using this design and have been successfully deployed in the field in large numbers.

The device can easily be scaled to support a few optional interfaces such as

c. GPRS: EDGE / GPRS / 3G EVDO
