Knowledge, focused training, practice and commitment to customer enjoyment is the mantra for Café Coffee Day (CCD) Brewmasters who brew several delightful coffee creations for CCD customers across the country everyday.
Its another proud achievement for Café Coffee Day, India’s premier and largest chain of coffee cafés, as their brewmasters topped the India Barista Championship 2009, winning 8 of the 10 awards, including the grand Platinum Award.
The India Barista Championship is a toughly contested event judged by an eminent panel of national and international judges. Several aspects from speed, to innovation, presentation, approach etc, are carefully considered before awarding the prizes.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates who won a total of 8 out of 10 prizes for CCD, Felix Daniel Mathew, Manager F&B CCD, Bengaluru, and winner of the top Platinum prize, says, “At Café Coffee Day, we are taught to study coffee as a science and brew it as an art form. This practice infuses a high element of passion and freedom of expression and a culture of adherence to perfection that helps us perform well.”

Platinum Award, Best Espresso, Best Cappuccino – Felix Daniel Mathew, Manager F&B, CCD, Bengaluru. Felix will represent India at the World Brewmasters Championship at Atlanta, USA, in April 2009.
