ICRI Health appoints Dr. Hari Gautam as the Senior Advisor

Institute of Clinical Research (India), Health, a division of ICRI, India’s premier institution in Clinical Research studies, has announced the appointment of Dr. Hari Gautam as the Senior Advisor, thereby he will be assuming full responsibility for leading the Institute inprovidingexcellence in Health studies.

Dr. Hari Gautam former Chairman of the University Grants Commission, former Vice Chancellor Banaras Hindu University, former Vice Chancellor King George Medical University, former President of National Academy Medical Sciences and currently the Chancellor of KIIT University, Bhubaneshwar has been appointed as a Senior Advisor to ICRI Health. Dr. Gautam brings to the table a rich experience of over forty years in education. As a Senior advisor, he would oversee both Academic and Administrative governance of ICRI Health. He would be giving his valuable advice about academic excellence to be achieved in the area of Healthcare courses. Dr. Gautam with his vast academic cum professional experience shall also advise on the steps to be undertaken to further establish ICRI University which is essential for delivering greater excellence in education.

Dr. Gautam has already been since 2005 a Director on the Board of Directors of ICRI and which he shall continue to be. He will also be advising ICRI on all other areas particularly pertaining to Quality Assurance in Clinical Research Education.

Having observed that the Medical Tourism and Wellness Industry had begun to boom in India, Dr. Gautam will spearhead the activities of ICRI Health, a division involved with educational programs associated with both the Medical Tourism industry and Hospital Management. ICRI Health focuses on imparting structured and relevant education and bringing in the science of management into healthcare services – both for medical tourism and hospital operations management. ICRI Health introduced two years- Full Time MBA in Healthcare Management with the option of specialization in Medical Tourism/Hospital Operations Management in the final year.
